The “aiya” about AYA

After being asked by the “small town boy from Penang” (see picture below) to cover the AYA Nomination, it actually pricked my curiosity on whatthetoot AYA actually is.

Before I go any further, let me just quote what Michael, the “small town boy from Penang” (which incidentally has a capital, George Town, which had been granted a city status since 1957 by the Queen, which so incidentally is also the “small town” referred to), said. “I am trying to unite the more bloggers i can find to spread the AYA Nomination – the goal is to find a significant number of bloggers and then, should the opportunity arise, I will be able to present your blogs to the media about you making a coverage about the awards.”

My answer was, “are you sure you want want an event like yours appearing at WhatTheToot.com?” Hey, Micheal, you asked for it, and here you go.

First, what’s AYA? Short for Asian Youth Ambassadors, it is a Malaysian non-profit organisation founded for the purpose of “inviting, inspiring, instructing and involving young people to dare to dream and be responsible in fulfilling those dreams for the good of all”. Then why the toot is it called AYA, not MYA, Malaysian Youth Ambassdors? Oh, obviously there are two things that you haven’t heard: 1, Malaysia truly Asia; and 2, the bird is the word.

AYA’s passion lies in achieving something they call Deam Malaysia, which they hope to fulfil by the year 2020. They claimed that Dream Malaysia is the vision of a transformed nation that will promote peace, prosperity, partnership and power to the people of Malaysia. Why 2020, you may ask? We at WhatTheToot conjecture that it is because 2020 is the closest number easy enough to remember, since they have missed 2000, while numbers like 2222 and 2718.28 is still so far away.

AYA claims that to achieve Deam Malaysia by focusing on building tomorrow’s leaders today, starting with none other than our long proven toot Rukun Negara, or National Principles in English. In another words, we cannot be atheist, we must admit the supremacy of the Malaysian Constitution which oh so happened to have been amended 42 times as of 2005, and we must agree with laws like ISA, or Act 574 Article 377A for that matter.

Hmm… I wonder if Michael will actually present this blog to the media about my coverage of the award. Haha. Michael, I’m just screwing with you.

Of God and Penis

After I watched a very interesting video on YouTube, I read some of the comments just to see the average mentality of the YouTube commentators. Normally this concists of things like “First”, “LOL”, “STFU” or more vulgar comments with even worse grammar. However, since this was quite a long, serious and scientific video, the comments were not too bad.

The topic suddenly switch to the gender of god. A commentator claims if God created Adam in his image, God must have a penis. Someone replied, and I thought its one of the funniest and intelligent comments I have seen yet. So good, in fact, I voted it up.

In case you didn’t know which one is it, here’s the comment reproduced:

If God has a penis then ipso facto there must be a Mrs. God, otherwise what the hell’s his penis for?

The comment just goes to prove how absurd and useless it is to talk about the gender of God, and in fact, God itself.

Oh you didn’t find that funny? STFU!
